Prime Minister Narendra Modi today flagged off the much-awaited Nagpur-Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express, India’s first semi-high speed train. This new train will reduce the travel time between Nagpur and Bilaspur from the current 12 hours to just 8 hours, providing a faster, convenient and comfortable journey for passengers.
The Vande Bharat Express will also provide an impetus to the government’s emphasis on regional connectivity and boosting development in the state of Maharashtra. The train has modern facilities such as Wi-Fi, automatic doors, CCTV cameras, and bio-toilets. It is equipped with 16 coaches and has the capacity to accommodate 1,128 passengers. This train will be a boon for those travelling between Nagpur and Bilaspur, providing an efficient and reliable mode of transport.
